It was a night of glitz and glamour as Africa’s most talented entertainers gathered at the Walter Sisulu Square in Soweto, South Africa for the 10th Annual Channel O Music Video Awards (#CHOAMVA).
The event hosted this year by hip hop artistes, Naeto C from Nigeria and South Africa’s AKA – is an annual celebration of the biggest and brightest music talent from all around Africa, and was broadcast live on Channel O on DStv across 52 countries on Saturday 30 September.
The biggest winner of the night was P-Unit, who took home two awards for Most Gifted Ragga / Dancehall Video and Most Gifted African East Video. Oskido won the Most Gifted African South Video award, and was also featured on Professor's Finger Prints which bagged the Most Gifted Kwaito Video award.
Another multiple winner was the Nigerian R'n'B duo P-Square who picked up the Most Gifted African Video West award along with the Special Recognition Award for their significant contribution to African music.
