The third edition of the Nigeria International Wine and Spirit Fair went off With a bang
The third edition of the Nigeria International Wine and Spirit Fair is off
With a bang. The fair, which is being hosted at the Federal Palace Hotel,
Features wine makers and distributors exhibiting their products for
Suppliers, retailers, wine connoisseurs, wine aficionados and the general
Public. It also features a wine tasting event where everyone gets an
Opportunity to partake of the very lovely wines on display.
Wines from all over the world were displayed in what the organizer, Mrs.
Shobodu, intends to be the finest wine fair in Africa on the same level
with international wine fairs such as the Venice Wine Fair. Mrs. Shobodu,
who was supported by her husband, mother and sister, explained that the
fair is attempting to bring sophistication into the wine consumption
culture of Nigeria. She said that the aim of the fair is not to create a
culture of drunkenness among Nigerians but to educate Nigerians so they
begin to appreciate the culture of wine drinking. She decried the attitude
of Nigerians to alcohol and urged them to drink responsibly, especially in
this season.
A very wide range of exhibitionists were on hand to display their products;
the finest wines in Nigeria sourced from all around the world, from Spain,
Italy, France, South Africa among others. Also on display was Sappiro, a
locally produced herbal liqueur which combines alcohol with ginseng and
lemon to provide great health benefits. Participants and individuals got to
sample as many drinks as they want.
Participants expressed satisfaction at the fair and applauded the efforts
of Mrs. Shobudu. They noted that the fair would improve their businesses
adding that they are hopeful about future wine fairs. Also, people who came
to enjoy appreciated the organizers for attempting to uplift the culture of
wine drinking in the country.The third edition of the Nigeria International Wine and Spirit Fair is off
