SERIAL ENTERPRENEUR TO HOST FIRST INTERNET BUSINESS SUMMIT IN AFRICA-"Get online or die"
On the 4th of November, 2013, the highly anticipated Internet Business Summit will go down at the Golden Gate Restaurant 25b, Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. Afrinet Business Solutions in collaboration with American Internet Business School will be revealing some secrets to the power behind the internet.
Dr. Ope Banwo in a bid to make this summit unique and much more credible, will be bringing internet experts like the famous Willie Crawford, Doven Michael, Lou Brown, Alicia Lyttle, Tim R.Johnson, Allyn Cutts and Raam Anand from the USA, UK and Carribean.
The serial entrepreneur and Attorney has published several books on business, is engaged in several startups and initiatives and has currently ventured into internet marketing. According to him, “November last year I decided to do internet business as a business rather than using internet for business. I have gone all out for the internet”
In a chat with Dr Banwo, he showed his passion for empowerment and knowledge and also emphasized vehemently the need for Nigerians to get online as this would bring the desired change in income and status. “Get online or die. I say this because if you don’t get online, you’ll die in the market place in the next three years as 90% of people are going on the net to spend their money”
He further said that Advertising agencies, bank managers, marketing managers and so on have a lot to gain online than offline. “This is a wakeup call for the internet business in Nigeria”, he said.
The solutions provider went on to say that he figured out a cost effective solution to unemployment and hopes the Government will understand. According to him, “I can empower one thousand people and after three months they won’t need a job again because they’ll be making at most 300-500 dollars monthly on the internet.”
He however said that internet business is not as easy as it comes but with patience and training, you are on your way to making legitimate money from the internet. He therefore advised that after the summit, people should not rush into internet business without adequate training as a three days summit will not get them fully equipped and ready for the business. Hence, The African Internet Business School will be launched for people to be trained and it is at a very low cost of 15,000 naira.
Dr. Banwo also made it clear that internet business is easier than getting a college degree and looking for a job. According to him, “It is easier than any profession I know and I’ll tell you why. It is the only business where you don’t need money or a college degree to compete with others. So, get online or die.”
The summit, Banwo said, will include general sessions to deal with most critical aspects of Internet business and industry-specific boot camps to address the direct needs of different critical industries.
He is an Entrepreneur, Attorney, Author, Motivational Speaker and Internet Marketer. He is admitted to the Attorney Bars of Nigeria, New York and Nebraska USA. His book “The confessions of a guru wanna be” will be published soon to further inspire the attendees and participants of the event.
