The MUSON festival which took place at the MUSON centre featured dance, drama, comedy and a classical music quest with 11 finalists.
Mr Adekunle James, the first director of MUSON school of music in his address said that MUSON is an annual event that brings joy to music minded people. He also reitreated that music is meant to be exact because there is no reason to make mistakes. "The 11th commandment of music is don't make mistakes",he said.
Shortly after his speech, prizes were given to the 3 winners of the music quest; Samara, Timothy and Damilola. In an interview with a few of the finalists who lost, Genevieve Chidinma(2nd runner up) had this to say: "it's not all about winning, it's about giving your best. I gave my best and i believe i'll do better than i did today next time. This is just a stepping stone to where i want to be"
The MUSON festival was sponsored by Stanbic IBTC and the grand finale was yesterday, the 27th October,2013.
