The Nigerian bankers game kicked off at the national stadium surulere last saturday, with fans and customers of different banks cheering on their teams. The first match kicked off with mainstream bank. Against keyStone which ended in a whooping 3-1 victory in favour of Mainstream Bank.
The next round started approximately 3pm on that sunny afternoon with the defending champion, Skye Bank against its counterpart, First Bank. The game kept supporters of each team and onlookers alike constantly on their toes. It was a very interesting match, however it ended with no goal from each team. When Goodlife crew interviewed the captain(Rotimi Sake) of the skye Bank team, he said he was impressed by the co- ordination of his team members on the field and that we should be expecting nothing less than a total victory at the end of the tournament.
The coach(Kegan) of the Skye bank team asserted saying with the rigorous training he has put his team through before the tournament he is sure of an outstanding result in their next play against Mainstream bank in two weeks time.
