Meeting the brain behind the fair, Mrs. Babara Kanu was like reconnecting with an old pal a very jovial lady who described herself as "a simple person from the south- south of Nigeria trying to run a successful bussiness".
An entrepreneur who started her bussiness three years ago after working for a major multinational company for some years, she decided to quit and take her love for stationery items to the next level by opening a stationery shop where she brands and package gift items, called "Paper Style" on Amiralty way Lekki, Lagos.
Her driving force apart from the the passion for stationery, she said, is her love to see things excellently put together from scratch to finish. when asked about her target market through the exhibition, she said........."anyone who has a brand name, from the popular big organisations to the SMEs who just started their businesses"
The Lagos Gift and Stationery Fair 2013, showcased high quality and unique corporate gifts, promotional items, premium gifts, prints and non print stationery, printing services and related businesses.
The maiden event was a huge success with so many popular brand names in attendance. She said to expect a bigger and even better exhibition next year and beyond.
