Will getting married to 2face restore Annie’s acting Career?
Annie Macaulay has consistently been a subject of discourse ever since she got into the limelight through Sola Fajobi created talent hunt and reality TV show, Next Movie Star.
Now looking back at the maiden edition of the reality TV show and see the array of actors and stars that were churned out year in, year out…Without doubts, Tonto Dikeh ranks top, Uti Nwachukwu can’t be quickly forgotten and Moyo Lawal has also used the platform to become one of the actresses gradually making her impact in the movie industry.
But just like Tonto, Uti and Moyo, there have also been quite a number of the housemates, who have found solace in doing serious acting. A handful keeps engaging themselves into series of roles in Nollywood movies.
Recently Annie’s career had consistently caught movie buffs’ fancy because she had not only enjoyed public love instantly in the few roles she was able to get, her romance with pop star, Tuface Idibia had also put her in a spotlight that many of her contemporaries would consistently clamour for.
Though she had relatively starred in a couple of movies, still her screen image has not fully matured to get her into the A-List category, it’s so bad that only few people remembered that her major claim to the entertainment spotlight was acting not by getting married to 2face Idibia.
It is been said in some corners that Annie had literary withdrawn from the acting world, and she now concentrating more on making herself the top priority of her man
However, what has consistently become a subject of discourse amongst industry watchers is what’s next for Annie after the multimillion Naira wedding between her and 2face in Dubai which attracted many stakeholders in the entertainment industry. One is quick to ponder if the petite sized African Queen, would return to the tube or maintain her near-personal assistant role to hubby, only time would tell!
