Christopher Wallace honed his rap skills inside 226 St. James Place, where he lived with his mother, Voletta Wallace. Since his untimely death, the apartment has become a hip-hop landmark of sorts, and was renovated a few years back
It’s located in a multi-family townhouse and boasts 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, a den, a basement laundry room, an office, hardwood floors and granite counter tops.

only last year autopsy into his death was made public and it confirmed that the Notorious rapper -- standing 6-foot, 1-inch tall and weighing 395 pounds -- was shot four times while riding in the passenger's seat of a Chevy Suburban on Wilshire Boulevard on March 9, 1997. He was struck in the chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum.
According to the report, three of the gunshots were not fatal, TMZ reported. The shot to his left hip tore through his vital organs, perforating his colon, liver, heart and upper lobe of his left lung. Doctors attempted to perform an emergency thoracotomy, but Wallace was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m.
